San Antonio, TX (April 5, 2024) – A woman and her 5-year-old child lost their lives as a result of a pedestrian accident that occurred on Wednesday evening, April 3.
Preliminary reports indicate that 39-year-old Vanessa Ramos and her son were walking along Stone Oak Parkway during the evening hours. As they proceeded through the area just west of Highway 281, they were struck by a vehicle at around 8:00 p.m. Both Ramos and her son were fatally injured in the crash. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 56-year-old Marlon Daniels, was found to be under the influence at the time of the crash. He was subsequently charged with intoxication manslaughter and taken into police custody. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
