Car Accidents in Texas

Every year, hundreds of thousands of vehicle collisions occur across Texas, resulting in numerous instances of serious injuries for those involved. Unfortunately, many of these accidents are caused by negligent and reckless drivers.

After being injured in an accident, it’s common for the insurance company of the at-fault driver to reach out to you. These insurance companies often try to manipulate you into accepting blame for the accident. In some cases, they may request a recorded statement from you regarding the events surrounding the crash.

Should I Talk to the Insurance Company?

If you have been injured in a car crash, it’s highly recommended to refrain from providing a statement to the insurance company of the at-fault driver. Insurance companies are primarily driven by their own financial interests, and your own insurer may not necessarily prioritize your best interests.

The purpose of requesting a statement from you shortly after an accident is to identify factors that could diminish their liability. Before consenting to provide a recorded statement to any insurer, including your own, it’s essential to seek advice from a reputable San Antonio pedestrian accident lawyer. Their guidance can safeguard your rights and help you navigate the complexities of insurance negotiations effectively.
