Round Rock, TX (May 19, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Round Rock area on Wednesday claimed one person’s life. On May 15, authorities were called to the scene of the accident on Interstate 35.
Reports show that 76-year-old Peggy Dreher was driving an SUV on the interstate when her vehicle was struck by an Amtrak train near McNeil Drive. Authorities responded to the scene and immediately shut down the road. Despite medical efforts, Dreher was pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the crash is under investigation.
