Austin, TX (February 14, 2024) – The Austin Police Department confirmed that two children were injured as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on the east side of Austin on Monday evening, February 12.
At approximately 7:20 p.m., two vehicles collided in the area of 248–260 Bastrop Highway. The incident blocked the southbound side of the road near Airport Boulevard, prompting officials to shut down the highway extensively. Two children involved in the accident were injured. Both victims were transported to Dell Children’s Hospital for emergency care. One of the victims was admitted in critical condition. The second victim suffered potentially serious injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
