San Antonio, TX (April 28, 2024) – A drunk driving accident reported in the San Antonio area left one police officer injured. The collision occurred at around 1:30 a.m. on the northeast side of San Antonio.
On April 27, the San Antonio Police Department officer was on routine patrol in a marked unit. As the vehicle proceeded through the area of Nacogdoches Road and Thousand Oaks Drive, a vehicle exiting a private driveway collided with the passenger side of the patrol unit. The officer was injured in the accident. The driver of the other vehicle, a 60-year-old man, was not injured. Authorities determined that the driver was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
