Car Accidents in Texas

Car accidents in Texas can be devastating. Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of collisions resulting in injuries are reported every year. After being hurt in a car crash caused by a reckless driver, there is a significant chance that you will have to deal with overwhelming financial burdens.

In order to help alleviate the impact of some of the damages you face, you are encouraged to seek legal representation to file a personal injury claim. A personal injury claim can provide you with the money that you need to cover your economic and non-economic damages during this difficult time.

How Much Is My Personal Injury Case Worth?

Typically, awards for economic damages are determined by examining medical records, employment records, pay stubs, repair estimates, and various other expenses resulting from your accident. On the other hand, awards for non-economic damages can vary significantly based on the unique characteristics of your accident.

To secure the maximum compensation for non-economic damages, it is essential to demonstrate to the court how your injuries and the accident have significantly impacted your life. In Texas, the recoverable amount of punitive damages can reach up to $200,000, or up to twice the amount of economic damages incurred, in addition to an equal amount of non-economic damages, up to a total maximum of $750,000.
