Austin, TX (January 7, 2024) – Two people became trapped inside their vehicle following a motor vehicle that occurred in the Austin area on Saturday morning, January 6. Calls for help were received at around 10:30 a.m.

According to reports from the Austin Travis County EMS, a collision involving an unknown number of vehicles occurred in the 4800 block of Texas State Highway 130. One of the vehicles involved in the accident overturned. Two people became trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. Firefighters and police remained at the scene extensively as they provided assistance. One of the victims involved in the accident was severely injured and transported by star flight to Dell Seton Hospital. The second victim was transported by ambulance to Saint David South Hospital for emergency care. The accident is being investigated by law enforcement.
