Austin, TX (March 28, 2024) – A pedestrian accident reported in the Austin area left one person critically injured on Wednesday morning, March 27. The incident occurred at around 10:10 a.m.
According to official reports, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on North Interstate 35. Authorities responded to the scene and located the victim with severe injuries on the northbound side of the roadway near East Cesar Chavez Street. Police and firefighters immediately closed a portion of the roadway to prevent further injuries. The victim was treated at the scene by the Austin Travis County EMS. The injured pedestrian was then transported to Dell Seton Medical Center for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
