Austin, TX (April 23, 2024) – at least one person was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a crash that occurred in the North Loop area of Austin. The Austin Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident just before 1:10 p.m. on April 22.
According to law enforcement reports, vehicles collided in the 5500 block of North Lamar Boulevard. The incident prompted authorities to close down the roadway for an extended period of time. Police and firefighters requested tow trucks on site to assist with removing damaged vehicles from the road. Medics tended to the injured victims briefly at the scene before transporting them to area hospitals. The Austin Police Department is currently investigating the accident.
