Austin, TX (March 6, 2024) – At least one person was injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Austin area on Tuesday afternoon, March 5. At approximately 1:50 p.m., the Travis County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 35.
Official reports show that a collision occurred in the 15,200 block of the roadway. The incident blocked multiple southbound lanes of the frontage road near the exit for Pamela Street. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway as the Sheriff’s office and firefighters worked to clear the scene. Injuries were confirmed in the crash. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care. The accident is under investigation.
