Car Accidents in Texas

Every year, hundreds of thousands of vehicle collisions are reported across Texas. Countless accidents result in serious injuries for those involved. The unfortunate truth is that there are countless instances where people are hurt as a result of crashes caused by negligent and reckless drivers.

After being hurt in an accident, there is a fair chance that you will be contacted by the insurance company of the at-fault driver. These insurance companies will do everything that they can to trick you into taking the blame for the accident. In some cases, they will ask you to provide a recorded statement to them surrounding what took place at the time of the crash.

Is Offering a Recorded Statement to the Insurance Company Advisable?

After being hurt in a car crash, it is strongly advised against providing a statement to the insurance of the at-fault driver. Insurance companies are motivated by their own financial concerns, and even your own insurer may not have your best interests at heart.

The intention behind obtaining a statement from you shortly after an accident is to identify elements that can be used to mitigate their liability. Before agreeing to provide a recorded statement to any insurer, including your own, it’s vital to seek guidance from a knowledgeable Texas car crash lawyer. Their insights can protect your rights and help you navigate the challenges associated with insurance negotiations effectively.
