Victoria, TX (December 13, 2023) – A fatal truck accident reported in Victoria claimed one person’s life on Monday evening, December 11. The Victoria Police Department and firefighters were notified that they were needed at the scene of a crash on US Highway 59.

According to local law enforcement, a semi-truck and an SUV collided on the northbound side of the highway near mile marker 640A. The incident prompted authorities to respond to the scene, closing off the roadway to prevent further damage or injuries.

A female passenger involved in the crash suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on site. One additional victim was injured.
