Rockdale, TX (December 16, 2023) – The Rockdale Police Department confirmed that 77-year-old James Anderson of Canada lost his life as a result of a pedestrian accident in the Rockdale area on Tuesday, December 12. Police, firefighters, and emergency medical services responded to assist.
According to preliminary investigations, Anderson was attempting to cross the roadway when he was struck by a car in the 700 block of Highway 79, West Cameron Street. Anderson was severely hurt in the accident. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
