Weatherford, TX (May 26, 2024) – One person has lost their life as a result of a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the Weatherford area on Friday, May 24.
Official reports show that a pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway on South Main Street when a dark-colored Toyota traveling down the roadway struck them. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was immediately pronounced deceased at the scene. The involved vehicle fled the crash site without stopping. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to care for the victim. However, the pedestrian passed away from their injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
