Taylor, TX (February 26, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that 71-year-old James Russell Grenweldge lost his life in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday in the Taylor area. The incident was reported at around 3:40 p.m. on February 21.
According to law enforcement reports, a white 2016 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling north in the 1600 block of North Main Street when it became involved in a head-on collision with a semi-truck tractor-trailer. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Grenweldge, became trapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated. He suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased by authorities. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
