Austin, TX – One Killed, Five Hurt in Crash at Hospital on N Mopac Expy

Austin, TX (February 14, 2024) – A major crash was reported at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center on Tuesday evening that claimed one person’s life while leaving multiple other victims injured. The Austin Police Department and firefighters were notified of the accident during the evening hours on February 13.

At approximately 5:40 p.m., a vehicle crashed into the emergency room of the hospital, which is located on the North Mohawk Expressway. Multiple people were injured as a result of the incident. Authorities confirmed that one child was admitted to Dell Children’s Medical Center in critical condition. An additional adult and child were also transported to area hospitals for emergency care. Two additional victims were treated for injuries at the scene. One of the victims was transported to Round Rock Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries. One of the people involved in the accident was fatally injured and pronounced deceased. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
