Austin, TX – Fatal Car Crash Reported on I-35 at Bentwood Rd

Austin, TX (March 24, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported in the Austin area claimed one person’s life. Authorities were informed of the accident at around 5:05 a.m. on March 23.

Reports provided by the Austin Travis County EMS indicate that a pedestrian accident occurred in the 4900 block of Interstate 35. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the involved vehicle and pedestrian on the northbound side of the roadway near Brentwood Road. Emergency officials immediately closed off the road. One person involved in the accident was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the accident is under investigation.
