San Antonio, TX (March 23, 2024) – A 63-year-old man lost his life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Thursday evening, March 21. The San Antonio Police Department was notified of the accident at around 9:00 p.m.
According to official reports, a black Dodge Dart experienced a flat tire while traveling in the 4500 block of Highway 281 southbound. The driver of a red Ford F350 pickup truck pulled up behind the Dodge and stopped his vehicle. The driver then exited his vehicle and began to help the driver of the Dodge replace the tire on his vehicle. For reasons unknown, a silver Toyota 4Runner was traveling south on the roadway when they crashed into the left rear of the trailer that was attached to the Ford F350.
The impact of the crash caused the 4Runner driver to lose control of their vehicle and crash into the Dodge Dart. The impact caused the Dodge Dart to rotate around and strike a black Mazda 5. The man who owned the Ford F350 pickup truck was then struck by the vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities only identified him as a 63-year-old man. The driver of the Dodge Dart was injured and transported to an area hospital. At this time, investigations are ongoing.
