Comfort, TX (May 1, 2024) – A woman lost her life as a result of a fatal pedestrian accident that took place in the comfort area on Monday morning, April 29. Authorities were called to the scene of the accident during the early morning hours.
Reports show that a crash involving a semi-truck tractor-trailer and a pickup truck occurred on the eastbound side of Interstate 10 near mile markers 523 and 524. A woman was attempting to warn other vehicles to slow down due to the crash ahead when she was struck by an 18-wheeler. The woman was fatally injured as a result of the accident. She was immediately pronounced deceased on site. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
