Austin, TX (February 13, 2024) – The Austin Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that claimed one person’s life. The crash took place at approximately 2:40 a.m. on February 12.
APD reports indicate that two vehicles collided on South Highway 183. The incident prompted authorities to close down the roadway near Plainview Drive as they worked to remove the involved vehicles. Two people were harmed in the accident. One victim was rushed to an area hospital for emergency medical care. The second victim was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of their injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
