Austin, TX (April 3, 2024) – The police, firefighters, and emergency medical services were all summoned to the scene of a car crash that occurred on Monday evening in the West Congress neighborhood. Calls for assistance came in at around 4:30 p.m. on April 1.
Preliminary reports indicate that a vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of South 1st Street and West St. Elmo Road. The authorities responded and immediately shut down the roadway while assisting on sites. Medical personnel responded to the crash scene to care for those harmed. At least one person required medical care and was transported to a local medical facility for treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
