Car Accidents in Texas

Car accidents occur far too often in Texas. In fact, one person is injured approximately every two minutes somewhere on our roadways. These accidents often leave victims with devastating injuries that affect their lives forever. We see many people suffer from traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, internal organ injuries, and other serious injuries that warrant immediate medical care.

After being hurt in an accident, car crash victims have the ability to pursue legal action against the responsible party. Most individuals take legal action by filing a personal injury claim.

What Evidence Should I Gather to Support My Personal Injury Claim?

After being involved in a car crash, you have the ability to recover compensation by filing a personal injury claim. In order to prevail, you must have strong evidence against the defendant. Some of the evidence that you should gather for your personal injury claim includes:

  • Police reports
  • Medical reports and diagnoses
  • Treatment records
  • Hospital bills
  • Property damage photographs
  • Receipts for any out-of-pocket expenses related to the accident
  • Pay stubs or income statements to document lost wages
  • Repair estimates for your vehicle
  • Copies of insurance policies for all parties involved
  • Surveillance Footage

This and other critical evidence will be used to build your case against the defendant. Having a dedicated car accident lawyer by your side can help to ensure that you have the strongest evidence possible. In some cases, your attorney will even work with experts who can re-create the crash to show what occurred.
