Austin, TX (April 21, 2024) – The Austin Police Department and area firefighters were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Treemont neighborhood and ended in injuries. The collision was reported at around 6:30 p.m. on April 20.
According to official reports, an unknown number of vehicles crashed in the 2600 block of South Mo Pac Expressway. The incident prompted authorities to close down a portion of the roadway as they worked to clear the scene. Emergency medical services were notified that they were needed at the scene to care for injured victims. At least one of the people involved in the crash suffered injuries that required further medical attention. The victims were treated on-site and transported to area hospitals for further medical care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
