Austin, TX (April 22, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in the Highlands section of Austin and ended in injuries. The Austin Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene at around 5:15 p.m. on April 20.
APD reports show that vehicles collided in the 7800 block of North Lamar Boulevard. The incident prompted the temporary closure of the roadway, allowing police and firefighters to remove the involved vehicles from the scene. Emergency medical services were requested on-site to care for injured victims. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
