Austin, TX (March 28, 2024) – Authorities were requested to provide assistance at the scene of a major motor vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Austin. At around 2:20 p.m. on March 27, the Austin Travis County EMS, firefighters, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of an automobile accident on Texas State Highway 71.
According to official reports, a total of four vehicles collided on the eastbound side of the roadway in the 1600 block. The impact of the crash caused two of the vehicles to overturn. One person was trapped in their vehicle and had to be removed by authorities. EMS units responded to the scene to provide care to the victims. One adult patient was injured in the accident and was transported to Seton Hays County for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
