Austin, TX (April 20, 2024) – The Austin Police Department and firefighters were called to the scene of an accident in the Govall neighborhood that ended in injuries. The incident was reported to authorities at around 4:15 p.m. on April 19.
According to reports provided by authorities, a vehicle was traveling in the 2800 block of East Cesar Chavez Street when it became involved in a collision for unknown reasons. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the involved vehicles blocking multiple lanes of the road. The police and firefighters immediately shut down a portion of the roadway. Emergency medical services responded to the crash site to render aid to the victims. An unknown number of people were transported to area hospitals for further medical care.
