Car Accidents in Texas

Car accidents are reported every day in Texas. In fact, nearly every two minutes, someone is injured as a result of a vehicle collision somewhere in our state. Automobile accidents cause injuries to hundreds of thousands of people every year in Texas. Far too often, those involved in collisions are left with severe injuries that affect their lives forever.

After being hurt in a car crash, you have the ability to file a claim to recover compensation for your losses and damages. You must be able to demonstrate fault in the accident.

How is Fault Determined in a Car Crash?

Texas operates on an “at-fault” system, which means that the individual responsible for causing a car accident is legally accountable for covering the resulting damages.

In some cases, determining the exact party at fault may be a subject of dispute. Insurance companies of the involved drivers may engage in debates to establish liability.

If you have sustained injuries in a car accident and believe you are not to blame for the collision, it is imperative to consult with a personal injury attorney as soon as possible.

An attorney can evaluate your case by examining evidence, such as police reports, photographs of the accident scene, and statements from eyewitnesses. They will assist you in constructing a compelling case to demonstrate that another party is responsible for the accident.
