San Antonio, TX – Three-Vehicle Injury Crash Reported on TX-345 Loop

San Antonio, TX (October 28, 2023) – A multi-vehicle accident was reported on Monday evening in Bexar County that left two people injured.

At around 6:30 p.m. on October 23, calls for help were received by the San Antonio Police Department regarding a collision on Texas State Loop 345.

Reports from SAPD show that a black 2014 Toyota was traveling in the 7900 block of the roadway at an unsafe speed. As a result, it collided with a white 2019 Nissan. The impact of the crash caused the Nissan to strike a blue 2020 Chevrolet.

Multiple airbags in all three vehicles were deployed as a result of the collision.

Two people involved in the crash were injured. The victims, a 20-year-old man, and a 25-year-old female, were treated at the scene and transported to local hospitals.

One additional person involved in the accident, a 40-year-old male, was not injured.

The crash is currently under investigation.

We hope the two people hurt in this crash recover quickly.

Car Accidents in Texas

In 2022, a total of more than 244,000 people were injured as a result of automobile accidents in Texas. These incidents add up to one crash being reported nearly every two minutes and one person being injured every two minutes and nine seconds. Although we continue to see accidents take place frequently, it is impossible to prepare for the impact that an automobile accident can have on your life.

Those involved in car crashes are often left with serious injuries. These include:

  • Injuries to the spinal cord
  • Injuries to internal organs
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Severe compound fractures

Unfortunately, any injury can require extensive medical care. We see car crash victims forced to go through both immediate and long-term care for the injuries they suffer. To make matters even worse, many crashes are a result of negligence.

Common Causes of Crashes

There are several factors that contribute to car crashes here in Texas. The most common include:

  • Speeding: Exceeding the posted speed limit or driving too fast for road and weather conditions is a leading cause of accidents.
  • Distracted Driving: This includes activities like texting, using a phone, eating, or adjusting the radio while driving.
  • Impaired Driving: Operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs significantly impacts a driver’s ability to react and make sound decisions.

Regrettably, any negligent action can lead to a serious car accident that causes injuries. If you have been harmed as a result of a collision, you should seek help from a dedicated San Antonio car accident lawyer immediately. You may have legal options available.
