Car Accidents in Texas

Every year, car crashes in Texas leave tens of thousands of people with injuries that affect their lives forever. Many victims involved in these accidents require extensive medical care for brain trauma, broken bones, and other significant injuries.

Although car crashes can occur at any location, more than one-third of all collisions take place at intersections. As you can imagine, acts of negligence contribute to a significant number of these accidents taking place.

Common Causes of Intersection Crashes

Accidents can take place across our state for a variety of reasons. In most cases, these crashes are preventable. Common factors in intersection crashes include:

  • Failure to Yield Right of Way: Neglecting to yield the right of way to another vehicle can have severe consequences.
  • Distracted Driving: Engaging in activities such as using cell phones, adjusting the radio, or other distractions can result in reduced attentiveness and potential collisions.
  • Running Red Lights or Stop Signs: Disregarding traffic signals and signs by drivers may result in hazardous T-bones or broadside collisions.
  • Impaired Driving: Alcohol or drug impairment impairs judgment and coordination, making it difficult to navigate intersections safely.

In the aftermath of an auto accident, it is crucial to seek legal guidance to protect your rights and receive the compensation you deserve. A skilled San Antonio car accident lawyer can help you navigate the complex legal process and fight for your best interests.
